I'm using closed captions in my presentation. If I turn ON the captions in one page. How can they be ON when the presentation goes to the next page and so on?

Hi Alexander,
Great question, thanks for posting it on the forum!

For some background from our converstion, it seems like you have your closed captions distributed across each of your pages with a "cc" button that toggles the visibility of the caption text.  We can create a variable that remembers whether the caption text was shown (or not shown) and use that to show (or not show) the caption text when each new page loads.

Here's how - http://share.smartbuilder.com/public/support/captions-across-pages.mp4

Hey Nav,

I'm wondering if the process is the same when using .vtt files instead of a button? I watchd the video you provided but it didn't seem correct when using the files instead of a button. Thanks!

Hi Gavin,
This should work with vtt captions, so long as you're turning the captions on or off from SmartBuilder. Here's a quick video - https://share.smartbuilder.com/public/support/captions-across-pages-2.mp4

Hope that helps!

Thank you! I was aiming to do it from the video as you mentioned later in the clip but I don't think it will be a concern for those who want the captions to turn them on for each video.

I'll add the necessary events to our enhancement list, maybe we'll be able to do that in the future.
