At the moment, I think there's a bug. Or perhaps this is mislabeled. "move easing" does the same thing as "move duration" (controls the speed of the movement), but only for the "layout objects" block (see attached image). Once we've fixed this / changed the label, we'll update the documentation. I believe the original intention was to allow control over the acceleration of the object, and hopefully that is possible.

I see movement acceleration does exist for layout objects in the way you have explained.
Is it possible to add movement acceleration to any object following a Motion Path?
If not, can I please submit it as a feature request?
