grouping objects

I've created small squares that represent a series of indicator lights. Is there any way to group the objects, so actions related to the "lights" can be performed in bulk?

Hi David,
It depends on what you want to do with those objects. Whatever it is that you want to do, the answer is probably adding tags to the objects.

I know you've used tags before, but for the benefits of anyone else viewing this post, here's a simple scenario that outlines the need for tags, and works through an example: https://portal.smartbuilder.com/web/smartbuilder/forum/-/message_boards/message/364023 Once you're comfortable with tag lists, you'll use them all the time!

One benefit of tags is that you can perform these types of bulk actions on an entire group of things! Here's an example:

Hope that helps!

One more piece of info - you can have multiple tags on a single object. So perhaps all the squares are tagged with "block" to show/hide them easily, but only some of them are tagged with "updating", and you want to make only those ones blink via actions.

Sample sb4 attached.
