Action blocks disappear after duplicating a layer

Action blocks disappeared: after duplicating a layer, all the action blocks generated for the previous layers disappeared from the canvas. I tried moving to another page and coming back again with no effect. In the end I exited and reloaded the lesson from the last save and they were there. I attach the log file exported after I reloaded the saved version.

Timeline edits don't register lesson as needing saving

Description:Changes to time lines, such as adding objects or adjusting timing, are not considered edits for the purpose of saving. SB4 does not mark the tab with an asterisk nor does clicking Save actually save the changes to the time line(s). This is misleading and can lead to lost work if the only changes are to time lines and the author clicks save and closes the course thinking that the changes have been saved.
Steps:1) Place several objects on the stage and save the file.2) Add the objects to the time line and then adjust the times without making any other changes and save the file.3) Close the course
Results:When you reopen the files, the objects will be there since they were saved in step 1; however the changes to the time line in step 2 will not be there since SB4 did not consider them as edits.

Motion path: objects don't follow path

Description:If a page has two motion paths, one going from left to right and the other going from right to left using the same Shape or other object, the object flies off the left side of the page rather than remaining at the end point of motion path 2.
Steps:1) Create a Motion Path going from left to right2) Create a second Motion Path going from right to left3) Create a Shape or other object and place to the left side of the screen.4) Create a trigger to click on and set up a When onClick action with Shape Object moving along Motion Path 1 from 1 to end5) Create an action of when Shape Object reaches Motion Path 1 end, do move along Motion Path 2 from 1 to end

It would be helpful for SmartBuilder version 4 to have the Fill Color and Show Border options found in the Drop Down List object in Version 3. We frequently use these two properties when simulating applications to have those objects more closely match the application.

Enhancement Request:
Currently, the only way to affect the size of a Drop Down object is to adjust the font size to change height and to edit the menu options to have text as long as you want the drop down in width. This means that I have to include a selection option that uses nothing but spaces to adjust the width of the drop down if I want it to be longer than the length of an actual answer option.

It would be much more efficient if I could adjust the width using the properties and/or by dragging the handles of the object as I am able to do currently in version 3.

Can't make Rich Text background white

Objects: Rich Text FieldDescription: When choosing white as the background color for the text in a Rich Text field, the background becomes transparent rather than displaying as white. Selecting any other color displays that color as the text background color. "Loading" message stuck in the Flow panel

Keeps getting stuck "loading" in the flow line: I've got a new problem whenever I do anything in 'flow' in that it gets stuck 'loading' for anything from 10-30 minutes. The two consistent triggers are creating a new page in a flow line or performing 'flow duplication' to copy one of the pages. the flow eventually appears again and the action has been performed. if I try and exit the program early, it goes back into the 'loading' when I restart Smartbuilder. Everything else seems to be working OK and it lets me move between pages in the flow line reasonably quickly. I attach the log files which should have logged it as it's done it several times today. The file I'm working on is about 15MB at the moment.

Enhancement request: Radio buttons group without buttons

Request: If possible, it would be helpful to have an option in the Button Size properties for "None". If selected, None would remove/hide the radio buttons allowing the author to have nothing but the text showing. The user would select the desired response by clicking on the text.

Use Case: We currently have scenarios in some of our courses where the interface calls for just text without radio buttons and this requires us to manually set up functionality that already exists in the Radio Button properties. Having the ability to use the Radio Button object (or a completely new object without the buttons) would simply doing this.

Delete key doesn't work in Cue Point dialog window

Description: The Cue Point Dialog window for objects such as audio, timers, and video does not allow the user to use the delete key to remove numbers.

Steps:
1) Add a timer to the stage
2) Click to Add cue points
3) In the Cue Point Dialog, place the cursor before any one of the zeros
4) Press the delete key

Results: Nothing occurs and the zero following the cursor remains in place

Expected Results: The zero should be deleted allowing the user to replace it with another number. Currently, the user can only highlight and replace the number or use the Backspace key.

Control timer's audio volume

Description: The timer properties have an option to include various sounds as the timer counts; however, there is no option to control the volume.

Enhancement Request: There should be a Volume property included below the Count Sound property in order for the author to have more control over how loud the sound plays back to the user. This would make it possible to have a more subtle playback sound than is less obtrusive and would not require the user to lower their volume on their end.

RE: Tools (icons) not appearing on toolbar

Further to my feedback yesterday. This problem seems to be a screen resolution issue. When I disconnected from the external screen, my laptop reverted to its default 3200x1800 resolution and that's when the tools were not appearing. I changed the resolution manually to 2048x1152 and it worked fine. The problem was there again when I reverted to 3200x1800 to test that was the cause of the problem.

Enhancement request: Rich Text Color Picker(s)

Description: The color picker functionality used within the Rich Text field window is different than the one commonly used elsewhere. It is even different from the one used on the Rich Text object itself when selected from the top of the page.

Desired Functionality:
It would seem to make more sense to have the same functionality in all locations, preferably the one currently used most commonly, in order to be more consistent and less confusing the user.

Additionally, the color picker used within the Rich Text window is more difficult to use and less intuitive.

Text input default colors

Description: The default color for the Text Input object is gray (#787878).

Request:
In my opinion the default color show be black (#000000) which would be more consistent with other defaults in the system.

Note: The line color also defaults to gray (#787878) whereas other objects such as the Drop Down List line color defaults to black (#000000). It would make more sense if all the defaults were the same across objects.

Tools (icons) not appearing on toolbar

I have a problem that not all the tools are appearing on the toolbar on start up. I normally work with a large external screen but I'm travelling at the moment so just working with the laptop and the problem developed then. I've tried restarting, right clicking tool bar and selecting restore hidden tools all with no effect. The only other thing I noticed was that on start up the smartbuilder logo splits into 4 before entering the program. I attach a screen shot and the log files.

I cut my teeth in e-learning in Authorware and one of the reasons I like Smartbuilder it's the closest program I've found. There are two features that Authorware had which I miss and I think others would find useful.

Firstly the ability to program fonts. So having selected a font, you could then save it as, say feedback font or question font or hotspot font and then there was a dropdown menu that allowed you to select that font when you needed it and all the characteristics (colour, font, size etc) were already there. It was a really useful shortcut.
The other feature was a library of objects that you use repeatedly in the build. This would sit as a pop-up window and you just had to drag and drop into the part you were working on. I know you can go back, find the object and copy and paste but the library was much quicker because it was right there.

Can't delete templates

Description:
When a template has been added to a page, it cannot be deleted without first adding another template. The option to Delete Template will display, but nothing happens when you click OK.

Steps:
1) Add a Multiple Choice template to a page
2) Select Template/Delete Template
3) Select the template name and check the box to delete instance objects from page
3) Click OK

Results:
The template and objects remain on the page.

Desired Results:
The template and objects should be removed as requested. Currently, the only way to remove a single template from a page is to delete the page or add another template before deleting the first.
