The sample lesson didn't have those actions in it. Here's where you will make the change (after publishing, before zipping and uploading to the LMS). No changes need to be made in the lesson.

Video - https://www.screencast.com/t/qH80GMRe6Vxc

You will have to make this change every time you publish the lesson.

We are looking into the possibility of updating the code so that you won't have to make this change in the future. It's tricky because every LMS has different requirements.

Hope that helps!

- NavNavdeep Dhillon2019-03-07T18:18:59ZRE: How to close a lesson ?Navdeep Dhillonhttps://portal.smartbuilder.com/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=&messageId=3688242019-03-05T19:17:22Z2019-03-05T19:16:13ZHi Carole,
Closing the lesson can be difficult. Modern browsers are restricting this feature more and more - and how the lesson is launched plays an important role in whether or not it is possible to close it. For example, if the LMS launches the lesson within the page and displays its own exit button, we cannot close the lesson from within. If the LMS launches the lesson in a popup window we may be able to close it.

Here's what you can do. There are two sample lessons that you can upload into your LMS and see if the close button works:
http://share.smartbuilder.com/public/support/scorm2004_close1.zip
http://share.smartbuilder.com/public/support/scorm2004_close2.zip

The 2nd one has a change that may work. If it does, we can send instructions on how to change your lessons so that they work with your LMS.

If neither work, then the best option is not use a close button within the lesson. Instead, you can show some text with instructions for your learner, to either close the browser window, or click on the "exit" or "close" button that your LMS provides (if there is one).

Hope that helps!

- NavNavdeep Dhillon2019-03-05T19:16:13ZRE: How to close a lesson ?Rob Pennhttps://portal.smartbuilder.com/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=&messageId=3687762019-03-05T11:54:40Z2019-03-05T11:53:59ZHi Carole,

Can you please clarify your problem? Is it:

A.) That the lesson's browser won't close when a finish button is clicked?

B.) Or, that your LMS isn't indicating that the lesson status is marked as 'completed'?

C.) Or, something else

Please let us know and, if possible, send us your source (.sb4) file so we can anlayze how you have configured the lesson. You can upload your lesson here: https://share.smartbuilder.com/public/upload.html

ThanksRob Penn2019-03-05T11:53:59ZHow to close a lesson ?joubert carolehttps://portal.smartbuilder.com/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=&messageId=3687202019-03-05T04:56:22Z2019-03-05T04:56:22ZWhen I import my lesson into my LMS, and do the training, the end never happens.
