Unless I am missing something, there does not seem to be a way to set the end point/time on the timeline other than dragging the "end" point along the time line. This quickly becomes annoying if it has to be dragged for more than a few seconds since I have to keep moving my mouse back and forth to get it to scroll beyond the viewable area. It would be very helpful to have an option to add the end point time via a text box. For example, when you click on the timeline itself, you have an option to add or delete a cue point. If there were a third option to define the end point time (24 or 24.5 for example), this would be quicker and more efficient that drag/scrolling for longer extensions.

That's a good idea.  I'll bring add it to the wishlist for future enhancements with the Timeline. In the meantime, you can always change the scale of the Timeline to aid in moving it over long distances.
